2023 Annual Medlyn Angus Bull Sale

2023 Annual Medlyn Angus Bull Sale

Thursday 22rd June 2023, 11am

PRIMEX Exhibition Centre, Casino NSW

Our 2023 sale is fast approaching with 34 pedigree angus bulls up for auction. Medlyn Angus bulls are registered, performance recorded, PI tested free and fully vaccinated (7/1, vibrio, botulism, 3 day sickness and blooded). They will be semen and morphology tested just prior to sale day.

A single bull’s genetic influence has the potential to significantly impact the future direction of your herd.

In this year’s sale we have sons of Aberdeen Estate Just Right J6 (AHWJ6), Clunie Range Maximum M528 (NBHM528) and Medlyn Lodge L91 (NJGL91). These sires have produced progeny that have performed well and are highly sort after. They have natural thickness, are muscular and have large EMA and RBY. Their daughters are feminine with capacity and milk.

Balridge Command C036 is another sought after sire.  He gives tremendous body and thickness, has calving ease, a complete sire, deep, thick and square. His progeny are docile.

Bubs Southern Charm AA31 is a new AI sire to our herd. He brings performance carcase genetics and a phenotype favourite with sound structure, fleshing ability, muscle shape and added capacity. EMA +9.1, IMF +3.3.

JMB Traction 292 has been used as an outcross sire within our herd and adds volume and capacity plus with.

Varilex Geddes 7068 has been a much sought after sire within the angus world, both stuf and commercial. He has calving ease, growth and carcase traits. His progeny are thick, easy doing and structurally sound.

Sydgen Enhance is extremely docile, has great feet and legs, long bodied and big depth of body. He has low birth weight and is in top 10% for all grown EBV’s.

LD Capitalist 316 is another new AI sire in our herd. He is a structural and phenotype stand out, being very deep, wide based and muscular with a strong top line. He has low birth weight.

We have been breeding angus cattle for over 30 years and our bulls are raised under commercial conditions, coastal dryland farming and cropping with high humidity and very high stocking rates.

We look forward to seeing you on sale day.
